Winter doldrums? Check out these 10 great music shows coming to Rhode Island.

With the close of the holiday season, life seems to dim, but the local music scene is heating up for a foot-stomping, head-nodding journey through winter鈥檚 gloom.

We鈥檙e blessed with venues that vary from vast arenas to cozy arts centers, and the shows booked through spring will appeal to just about every music lover, with rock, blues, disco and '80s hits on the menu.

Stay warm through the next few months with our top 10 concert recommendations.

Friday, Jan. 26, 7:30 p.m.: Rhode Island鈥檚 own will light up the Courthouse Center for the Arts in South Kingstown () with a unique sound that reflects classic blues influences from Detroit to the Delta. Tickets start at $28.

The James Montgomery Blues Band will perform Jan. 26 at the Courthouse Center for the Arts in South Kingstown.

Saturday, Feb. 17, 8 p.m.: , Vets Auditorium (), Providence. Singer-songwriter A.J. Croce celebrates two of his father, Jim Croce鈥檚, legendary albums with his renditions of songs such as 鈥淥perator鈥 and 鈥淭ime in a Bottle,鈥 accompanied by a biographical multimedia presentation. Tickets range from $35 to $75.

A.J. Croce will perform classics made famous by his father, Jim Croce, as well as his own music at a Feb. 17 show at Vets Auditorium.

Wednesday, Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m.: and , Amica Mutual Pavilion (), Providence. Celebrate Journey鈥檚 50th Anniversary Freedom Tour and sing along to '80s hits such as 鈥淒on鈥檛 Stop Believin鈥,鈥 鈥淔aithfully鈥 and 鈥淎ny Way You Want It.鈥 Tickets start at $75.

Tuesday, March 12: , The Strand (), Providence. Lodge reignites some of the iconic rock band鈥檚 classic hits, such as 鈥淚sn鈥檛 Life Strange鈥 and 鈥淚鈥檓 Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band),鈥 then performs the album 鈥淒ays of Future Passed鈥 in its entirety. Tickets start at $50.

Friday, March 22, 7:30 p.m.: with Ashanti, 112, Ginuwine, Next, and Lloyd, Amica Mutual Pavilion (), Providence. Warm up with sounds from the 1990s and 2000s before enjoying Ashanti鈥檚 lyric soprano as the show鈥檚 headliner. Tickets start at $89.

Saturday, March 23, 7 p.m.: , Providence Performing Arts Center (), Providence. The only duo with top 40 hits in the 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s, the pair will be backed by the RI Philharmonic Orchestra for powerful arrangements of their folk, rock, pop and classical sounds. Tickets start at $34.50.

Saturday, April 6, 8 p.m.: , Foxwoods (), Ledyard, Connecticut. Travel back to the '80s for the Antmusic 2024 show, featuring such songs as 鈥淕oody Two Shoes,鈥 鈥淪tand and Deliver鈥 and 鈥淧rince Charming.鈥 Tickets are $66 and up.

Saturday, April 13, 8 p.m.: Providence Performing Arts Center (). Robinson is old-school Motown, and he promises to deliver such hits as 鈥淭ears of a Clown,鈥 鈥淚 Second That Emotion鈥 and 鈥淭he Tracks of My Tears,鈥 along with 鈥淚f We Don鈥檛 Have Each Other鈥 from his 2023 album "Gasms." Tickets are $57.50 and up.

Smokey Robinson performs in Detroit in August. He'll be at Providence Performing Arts Center on April 13.

Friday, April 19, 8 p.m.: , Greenwich Odeum (), East Greenwich. If you think you know what folk music sounds like, think again. This genre-bending American roots band offers 鈥渏oyful, booty-shaking soul鈥 and 鈥渃ut-to-heart folk-rock ballads.鈥 Tickets are $28.

Friday May 17, 8 p.m.: , Providence Performing Arts Center (). These classic rockers are on their 50th anniversary tour with two original and one longtime member in their lineup. They鈥檒l bring the bass for iconic tunes like 鈥淒ust in the Wind,鈥 鈥淐arry On Wayward Son鈥 and 鈥淩efugee.鈥 Tickets range from $45 to $125.
