Experience led her to find her way into Joanne through humor and the role鈥檚 physicality.

鈥淚 started with the similarities, coming in with my physicality. [Joanne] leads with her body,鈥 she explains. 鈥淚 then went with 'as if' moments 鈥 what if I had three husbands? What if I drank too much? I鈥檇 expand on them. It鈥檚 constantly peeling away at the onion.鈥
